About This Treatment
Aromatherapy massage combines a full-body treatment at a light-to-medium pressure with a blend of essential oils diluted into a carrier oil. The technique is closer to Swedish than deep tissue — slow, rhythmic and continuous, with more attention paid to the pace than to the pressure.
The blend is chosen at the start. Your therapist will bring three or four prepared options for you to smell, and you simply pick the one you like. There is no personality quiz and no mysticism involved: preference is genuinely the best guide, and a scent you enjoy will make the ninety minutes better.
Benefits
- Deep, sustained relaxation — the length of the session is the point.
- Eased muscular tension — worked across the whole body rather than one area.
- A calmer end to the day — best booked for a late afternoon or evening.
- Softer skin — the carrier oils are nourishing in their own right.
Aromatherapy is a wellbeing treatment. We make no medical claims for essential oils, and we will not sell you any at the end.
What to Expect
You are shown to a private suite, choose your blend, and undress to your comfort level under a towel. The massage covers back, legs, arms, shoulders, neck and scalp, finishing face-up. The room is dim and warm, and there is no expectation to talk.
Because oils stay on the skin, wear something you do not mind and plan a soft evening afterwards rather than a dinner reservation.
Treatment Process
- 01 · Blend selection (5 min)
Three or four prepared blends to smell. You choose. - 02 · Back and shoulders (25 min)
Slow, rhythmic strokes, warming the whole area first. - 03 · Legs and feet (20 min)
Long strokes working towards the heart, with attention to the feet. - 04 · Arms, chest and neck (20 min)
Turned face-up, opening across the collarbones and shoulders. - 05 · Scalp and rest (20 min)
A long scalp massage, then quiet time before you get up.
Who Is It For?
Ideal if you find it difficult to switch off, are travelling through several time zones, or simply want the longest, gentlest treatment we offer. It is also the kindest choice for a first visit if firm pressure makes you uneasy.
Not suitable during the first trimester of pregnancy, and we adapt the blend afterwards. If you are sensitive to fragrance, epileptic, or have a diagnosed skin allergy, tell us at booking — we will use an unscented base instead.
Aftercare
- Leave the oils on for a few hours if you can.
- Drink water and keep the evening gentle.
- Avoid direct sun for 12 hours if a citrus blend was used.
- Wear something soft that you do not mind marking.
